Deciding if therapy is right for you
Our first session together will be an assessment session and is an opportunity for you to find out if you feel at ease and comfortable so that we may work together. I will explore a little about your life story and what has brought you to therapy.
It is vital in therapy that we are both clear about what you hope to gain from the sessions and I will help you to work out what this is. This way we can begin to work together to either help you to change those things which you would like to or perhaps to accept and make sense of those things you cannot change.
I offer private therapy sessions for the following concerns:
Abuse (Emotional/Sexual/Physical) | ADHD |
Adoption/Foster Care | Affairs/Separation/Divorce |
Anger Management | Anxiety/Panic |
Assertiveness/Confidence building | Bereavement (including pets) |
Bullying | Cancer (self and others) |
Career/Workplace Issues | Chronic Illness |
Depression/Low Mood | Identity |
Lack of Meaning/Personal Growth | Loneliness |
Low Self-esteem/confidence | Pregnancy/Post-natal Depression |
Redundancy/job-loss | Sexuality |
Spirituality/Faith | Stress |
Trauma | Termination/Abortion/Miscarriage |
This is not an exhaustive list but whatever you wish to discuss will be handled sensitively and in confidence.
